Tax audit of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan resumed on information of secret bank accounts

Rahat Ali Khan found it costly not to disclose the amounts in the secret accounts in the annual income tax returns. Singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan could not satisfy the FBR regarding secret bank accounts. The FBR has given a deadline of tomorrow to submit a reply.

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan found it costly not to disclose the amounts in the secret accounts in the annual income tax returns. The team of Intelligence department of Inland Revenue service sent the details of the secret bank accounts to the tax office. The FBR has given Rahat Fateh Ali Khan till January 15 to file a reply.

The FBR has also started re-audit of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s income tax year 2014. According to sources, the singer’s travel history was also sought.

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan already taxed of Rs. 602,473 for the year 2014. Now, the audit again resumed after receiving third party information. A reply was sought on December 7 and 24. FBR says, if Rahat Fateh Ali Khan fails to submit reply within the due date, legal action will be initiated.
