Corruption in Pakistan increased more than Afghanistan: Transparency International reveals

Corruption in Pakistan is higher than in Afghanistan as Transparency International (TI) released its annual report on Thursday, which shows that the corruption situation in Pakistan worsened in 2020.

According to the 2020 Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI), corruption is damaging the healthcare system and contributing to the democratic backwardness of COVID-19 epidemics. Countries that perform well on the index invest more in healthcare, are better able to provide health coverage globally, and adhere to democratic principles and institutions or the rule of law.
