When Zakat Deducted by Bank in Pakistan. Zakat is one of the Islamic financial term. It is obligation to pay by the wealthy Muslims to the needy persons. This year Government of Pakistan has fixed Nisab for Zakat for the year 1444-45 A.H at Rs135,179. This Nisab for zakat will be used for zakat deduction from:
- savings bank accounts,
- profit and loss sharing accounts and
- other same bank accounts.
Zakat deduction date will be on 1st of Ramadan. It is expected on March 12 or 13 (subject to appearance of the moon in Pakistan) for zakat deduction for year 2024.
