FBR extends date for filing sales tax & Federal excise return for April 2021

Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) extended the date of payment and submission of Sales Tax and Federal Excise Return for the period of April, 2021.

The date of payment of Sales tax and FED monthly return, due on 15th May 2021, hereby extended up to 18th May 2021. Further, The date of submission of Sales Tax and Federal Excise Return, which is due on 18th May 2021 is hereby extended up to 21st May 2021.

FBR directed this in exercise of powers conferred under section 74 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990 and section 43 of the Federal Excise Act, 2005, the Federal Board of Revenue extended the date of payment and submission of sales tax and federal excise return for the tax period of April, 2021 as per the schedule given above due to Eid ul Fitr holidays.

FBR communicated this vide circular No 9(11)ST-LPE/Misc/2016/60017R dated 6th May 2021.
