Withholding tax on Pakistan-made mobile phones abolished.
The Cabinet’s Economic Co-ordination Committee approved the Mobile Device Manufacturing Policy and Electric Vehicle Policy. The meeting approved the abolition of 4% withholding tax on locally manufactured mobile phones.
The framework for tax and duty concessions for the mobile phone manufacturing industry and electric vehicles in Pakistan till 2025 was also approved.
Three (3) big mobile phone companies will soon Will launch operations in Pakistan. These are great achievements in the Made in Pakistan campaign. Very soon we will be making our electric vehicles and mobile phones.
