Gwadar East-Bay Expressway
The Construction of Eastbay Expressway is the main project of Gwadar Port through which the entire traffic of gwadar port will flow. The purpose of Eastbay Expressway is to provide primary connectivity of the Port & its Free Zones. It will Link Gwadar Port with the main national highway roads network and efficient logistic transportation of all types of goods (Imports, exports, transits).
New Gwadar International Airport
It will be capable of handling a combination of ATR 72, Airbus, (A-300), Boeing (B-737) and Boeing (B-747) for domestic as well international routes.
Construction Of Breakwaters
To facilitate construction of additional terminals at Gwadar Port by its Operator.
Dredging Of Berthing Areas & Channels
To assist construction of more terminals at Gwadar Port by its Operator and for efficient shipments to and from the existing available berthing facilities. This project proposed for the purpose of carrying out capital and maintenance dredging.
Development of Free Zone
Currently, following areas allocated as free zone and export processing zones in the industrial locations of Gwadar. Lands already acquired for this project:
- Gwadar port free zone: 2,280 acres
- GIEDA industrial zone: 3,000 acres
- EPZA export processing zone: 1,000 acres
Infrastructure required to develop for such industrial zones. For instance, access roads, local roads, utilities, custom facilities availability, fencing, security facilities, some warehouses, office and other connected infrastructure, etc.
Pak China Friendship Hospital
This project proposed for Phase-II of 50-bedded hospital constructed under Gwadar Development Authority (GDA). The hospital is on 68 acres of land. Six medical blocks (each 50 bedded) and 20% of the residential blocks completed. Under the proposed project remaining medical blocks, nursing and paramedical institutes, medical college, central laboratory, and other connected facilities planned to construct with supply of medical equipment and machinery.
Pak-China Technical and Vocational Institute at Gwadar
People of Gwadar are stakeholder of Port City of Gwadar. Their participation is key in operation & management of the port. Participation in business and commercial businesses, is key to the all long-term developmental steps. Mentioned project proposed to shape and enhance skills of citizens of Gwadar.
Gwadar Smart Port City Master Plan
About: MoU signed in Nov 2015. LOE signed in August 2015. Chinese Fourth Harbour Design Institute nominated for Gwadar Smart City Plan. Contract Signed in May 2017. Completed and approved in the 9th JCC held on 5th November 2019.
