This budget car targeted for the middle class of Pakistan. It is possibly a sporty look hatchback. Although Javed Afridi didn’t share any details about the vehicle set to be launched. But according to the local media reports that the vehicle in question is the MG3.
Javed Afridi told Khaleej Times, a UAE-based media outlet in an interview. That MG Pakistan is planning to bring a budget car for the middle class of Pakistan.
MG3 is a hatchback, and will be competing with the already existing models of Suzuki Swift, KIA Rio, Toyota Vitz, and other similar local cars. Car is estimated to fall under two million rupees. Local manufacturing will affect with that price tag. Javed Afridi shared details of MG Pakistan’s assembly plant. It is currently under work in process in Lahore.
He also shared that other local assembly plants are in the pipeline in Karachi. He said that both assembly plants will allow the company to sell locally assembled vehicles in Pakistan at better prices. Javed Afridi explained that the automaker is ready to increase its impact on the Pakistani automotive industry.
