Shaukat Tarin came after replacement of PTI’s recently appointed finance minister Hammad Azhar. Before Hammad’s short period, Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh was the finance minister. Prime Minister Imran Khan removed Dr Hafeez Shaikh due to point of differences over the International Monetary Fund (IMF) program.
