The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has extended the date of payment and submission of Sales Tax and Federal Excise Return for the Tax Period of December 2021.
The date has been extended for filing December 2021 sales tax and Federal Excise Return in view of newly launched Single Sales Tax Return module under Iris portal of FBR.
In its letter to all Chief Commissioners Inland Revenue (IR), the FBR has informed about the extension in date of payment of Sales Tax and FED up toJanuary 21, 2022which was earlier set as January 15, 2022. Similarly, the date of submission of Sales Tax & Federal Excise Return has been extended up toJanuary 24, 2022which was earlier set as January 18, 2022. Further, due date of submitting annexure C which was January 10th 2022 has been further extended up to January 19th 2022.
TheFBRhas granted the extension under section 74 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990 and Section 43 of the Federal Excise Act, 2005.
