Is Elon Musk Charging for Twitter. Twitter’s new Owner, Elon Musk, has dissolved the board of directors for the company, becoming himself “sole director.” of the Twitter Company.

It was already expected, as Musk immediately removed many top-level executives on Thursday after closing his $44 billion acquisition of twitter.

Elon Musk is also planning to introduce subscription-oriented offerings, including potentially a $20-a-month fee for Twitter Blue, to lessen dependence on advertising.

“The whole verification process is being revamped right now,” Musk tweeted on Sunday. 

Elon Musk has already planned bold plans for the twitter:

  • to broaden its user base.
  • boosting subscriptions to half of the company’s revenue
  • growing the service to 900 million users in five years

Currently, Twitter Blue, which allows users to edit tweets and removes some advertising, makes up less than 8% of the company’s sales, according to Twitter’s latest financials reports.
