Third Covid wave: FBR directed only 50 percent staff will work from home

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has directed that due to the recent increase in Corona cases in the third wave, only 50% of FBR staff will work from home.

A notification issued by National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) Under Epidemic Diseases Control Act 1958, vide No .l (135)•HC(G)i2021 dated 11-03•2021. According to notification all types of sports, cultural and other activities and events shall remain closed till next orders. Moreover, all commercial activities, establishments, markets, amusement parks shall remain closed on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) other than services as already notified. Outdoor marriage ceremonies shall be allowed subject to condition of no of guests. All public private offices shall follow the policy of work from home for 50% of their staff in federal capital. Indoor activities not allowed. All NOCs issued for public gatherings withdrawn with Immediate effect.

All previous restrictions and exemptions will continue to apply. This order will come into force immediately and will remain in force till March 29. Government has also ordered to educational institutions to close again. All shrines in Punjab closed till April 15. While mosques managements directed to ensure standardized operating procedures (SOPs) of Covi-19 to prevent the spread of the disease.
