FBR categorically rejected news of extension in date of filing income tax returns

A spokesman for the Federal Board of Revenue has vehemently denied reports in some newspapers of extending the date for filing income tax returns, saying no proposal was being considered at FBR headquarters.

Spokesman FBR further said that an integrated advertising campaign has been launched for submission of returns at the national level which will continue till September 30.

An awareness campaign is underway on electronic, print and social media with very encouraging results and more and more people are submitting their annual income tax returns.

FBR has appealed to the taxpayers to file their annual income tax returns before the deadline of September 30, 2021 and not to listen to baseless and misleading news.

FBR further recalled the taxpayers that in case of any query or help Call the FBR Helpline 111772772 for any guidance, or contact your nearest Income Tax office.
