Sindh Revenue Board Announces Tax Relief Scheme

The Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) has announced a tax incentive scheme. This scheme allows total exemption from penalties. It provides significant relief for Sindh sales tax (SST) defaulters in payment of default surcharge.

Meetings held with different chambers of commerce and taxpayer associations. In a press release on Monday, the Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) approved a proposal for tax incentive scheme. Under this scheme penalties would be exempted. Further, significant exemption from the default surcharge liability will be provided to the taxpayers and defaulters.

Provided, if they deposit the principal amount of arrears of Sindh sales tax during the month of June 2021. In the first 12 days of June 2021, the tax incentive scheme will allow total exemption from penalty and default surcharge. Only If the principal amount of sales tax arrears is deposited in the government exchequer between June 1 and June 12.
