Launch of 5G again Delayed in Pakistan
Launch of 5G again Delayed in Pakistan. The launch of 5G in Pakistan has once again been delayed. Initially, it was expected to be launched around December this year but was further delayed to early 2023. After March 2023, it was again delayed to June, but now it is further expected to launch in July 2023, said Syed Amin ul Haq, IT and Telecommunications Minister.
According to him, this step will further help the IT industry as well as exports. He announced this during a ceremony at the UBIT Career Fest 2022, organized by the Department of Computer Science of the University of Karachi. He said that he is confident that the new deadline will not be further delayed.
The minister remarked that IT exports have increased a lot as compared to exports from other sectors.
He also said that the industry and educational institutes can help meet the needs of future jobs and help IT experts to get opportunities offered by IT companies. The government is also positively facilitating IT startups with massive funding rounds of around $373 million.
Moreover, other Countries are still trying their best to get stable and reliable 5G. Especially in the UK, there are still poor 5G connections in a lot of cities and we are hoping best how the next generation of mobile networks performs in Pakistan.
