With profound grief, it is intimated that Rana Muhammad Anwar Khan, a renowned and Senior Chartered Accountant of Pakistan (FCA) and ex-senior partner Tariq Ayub, Anwar & Co Chartered Accountants, has passed away today.

He was a very senior member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP). Rana Muhammad Anwar FCA served in his profession of chartered accountancy for more than 60 years. He was one of the founding members of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan. He will be always remembered in the field of tax consultation in Pakistan. Especially, his efforts to strengthen the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will always be honored.

Fortunately, i was also his student from 2005 to 2010 in his firm Tariq Ayub, Anwar & Co., Chartered Accountants situated at Gulberg Lahore, Pakistan. Where he was a complete institution for us. Like me there are thousands of his students in the field of chartered accountancy who are serving all over the world. He will always in our hearts as respected teacher and as a professional mentor.

He was student of renowned Chartered Accountant Hameed Chaudhary sb. It is also pertinent to mention here that his very close friend Mr Amin Mudassar Sb FCA (From Amin Mudassar & Co., Chartered Accounts) has also passed away at 8th February 2021.
